Coming up to Mid January – and this is usually the time when You might have a little doubt about those new years resolutions – seemed so confident around Jan 1st – and yet now it might seem a little distant – its all too easy to lack faith if You’re not certain that You are doing the right things, at the right time in the right order for something like learning Guitar – all too easy to get caught up in the idea that perhaps You’re too old – or maybe should have started 20 years earlier.
And yet take Student John – who You will see in a moment playing his first workshop aged 70, and making his stage debut at 72 – proving that with the right friendly, patient, guidance and approaching things in the right order it is possible to make progress and begin to start Playing how You want to play, that has been the experience of other From Beginner to Beyond students who have gone from playing very little or not at all to playing at workshop events, Live On stage – or just choosing to keep their playing for their own pleasure.
