This is simply as I am passionate about teaching, training and coaching on guitar and looking for distinctions what can help students, help Guitar enthusiasts improve more quickly, and get more enjoyment out of guitar playing.

I believe during this 21st Century – Meaningfull Music Making, will be from the neck up… what we all know diet and exercise are from the neck down.

Everyone knows diet and exercise are good for You – that watching what you eat and how You use your body can help You live  physically a longer and more vibrant, youthfull life – even the people who don;t do these things at least know about them.

So why Will MeaningFull Music Making become known as being good for Your Brain…

1) Alzheimers disease is a growing ticking health time bomb …. here’s the BBC reporting on the worldwide concerns of Alzheimers

2) So Far the only thing that helps Advanced Alzheimer sufferers regain the ability to communicate is Meaningfull Music Making, the Playmouth Experiment was so successfull through getting Alzheimer victims to at least temporarily talk with family and loved onesafter singing meaningfull Music – that a Japanese G8 delegation stayed on – why – because Japan has an increasing aging population.

5) NOTHING uses more of the brain than active Music Making

Neuroscientists have discovered that it is meaningfull Music Making that uses more of the brain – is the equivalent of a full brain workout.

What’s more because most jobs, careers, studies are logical, linear and uses primarily the left brain – Music Making reaches the other parts.

6) I believe there is an exact parallel with how Diet and exercise evolved during the 20th century, to how meaningfull Music Making will evolve in the 21st Century.

Throughout the 20th Century Diet and Exercise was really either for athletes, sports people, or as therapy for those who had medical conditions. It was Jane Fonda’s Workout Video Tapes (remember them) that brought exercise to the masses.

Your local Surgery waiting room shows cartoons of taking walks and exercise to maintain health and cholesterol.

How long before Your surgery shows cartoons suggesting Meaningfull Music Making, as a way of preserving brain health, keeping You mentally fit, youthfull vibrant and pasisonate..
