Hi There,

Finally uploaded part of my guest appearance on Dave Marshall Barratt’s Friday night Later show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio, from nearly two weeks ago.

Talk about 10th anniversary student show, the recent Woodstock 50th anniversary – including who made Woodstock go viral – and even touch a little bit on technology and anxiety as well..

Andre

PS Tickets for this Sunday’s show are still available from the venue : The Coundon Social Club, Shorncliffe rd, Coventry – from Paul – £5 in advance, £8 on the door.

Hi There – Pleased to announce that with just less than a week away – advance tickets are now available directly from our venue. You can get these from Paul at The Coundon Club – its £5 in advance or £8 on the door.

It will be a show of 3 halves – starting with the road to Woodstock, because it is the 50th anniversary of that iconic festival

followed by our guest former students who will play a set and finally a mixed set of acoustic and electric – rooted in rock, indie and blues – from the 1950s right through to the Noughties..

Doors open 4pm, show start at 4.30pm with an early finish around 8pm, perfect if you have an early start on monday morning

Hi There – Counting Down To The RockTober Show – 10th anniversary of live student events – and I’m very excited that we’ve tracked down former student Nick who will be playing next sunday.

Now Nick was already an advanced student – he’d started playing back when he was 18 – but here are some of his highlights – how he got back into live playing – and some of his thoughts and ideas on playing, on lessons, on performing, progress and yes we even talk a little about practice as well..

Hi There,

His first show was in 2013 – our first time at The Coundon Club for a student event. Jake did start out as a near beginner – and by 2017 he was playing at Coventry’s First Classic Rock Show in 2017 – before going to University in Manchester. Here’s all about Jake..

What does Mechanic Chris, Engineer Graham, School Student Luke, Engineering SubContractor Kiran and 69 year old BluesMan Jim all have in common ?

Well back in 2012, just after the London Olympics – they all took part in a guitar world record attempt at the Coventry Ricoh Arena – and yes we did get the record for the most electric guitars.

Hi There,

It’s Andre and we’re counting down to the 10th year of student shows – and this time it’s all about Ben, how he made his debut wayback in 2009, what happened straight after, and how he developed the confidence to even start a show as a Cydonian Knight..

n 2018, he released a debut album as part of Temple Black at The Arches and Scruffy Murphys – back at show number 1 in 2009 – Dan made his debut. Counting down to 10th Anniversary show – this episode is all about Dan..

Andre

Ps Dan did not quit his day job, and practice all the time to go through this process (though it was that much fun he was probably tempted) – he did stay Forensic Scientist by day – and kept Music for night time. though Dan now lectures at Warwick University, and still plays Lead guitar for Temple Black who do play shows across the Midlands.
