Alvin Lee who sadly passed away earlier this year age 68, was perhaps best known for his performance of  12 Bar Blues Going Home at Woodstock Festival in 1969 – a performance that caused some like Total Guitar to call Alvin Lee the Godfather of Shred Guitar – a style that would become popular years later in the 1980s through Guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen.

So at The June workshop, only two weeks away, with a full band, there will be an opportunity for students not only to play for multiple hours – something that might be hard to do on your own, or at home – but also to pay tribute to the Late Great Alvin Lee, with a rendition of  Ten Years After Classic Going Home…
