As well as teaching and other Music related activities, a hectic weekend with not one but two rehearsals with new band, friday with singer Karen, and earlier tonight with other lead singer Stuart. As well as trying to learn the whole A list of material ready for a Special wedding gig lined up in October, there’s also a fair amount of transcribing, listening work and also arrangements involved.

Especially for the wedding couple’s first dance which will be to Adele’s One and Only., so really putting a lot of work into that.
Infact the arrangement has changed a fair amount from the original which relies a lot on keyboard, towards more of a jazz/Blues type feel, with only one Guitar on that song, and Bass and Drums really working the dynamics of the band…. and also tension and also the vocals.
Karen (no pictures from friday rehearsal), Stuart, Alan and Phil all sing…. it might just be time for me to blow the cobwebs and dig out an SM 58 microphone as well… once I’ve learned all the material that is!!
Very soon we’ll have the first full rehearsal with both lead vocalists Karen and Stuart togther and Yes we’ll get a video camera in so you can see and hear some of the works, the arrangements as they continue totake shape
