Hi There,

One of the keys about learning and growing as a Guitar Player, is developing a variety of techniques and styles that You can play. For example You might be mainly a rock, metal or perhaps Blues player, and want to develop those aspects of your playing, and yet having some exposure to other styles can only serve to help You and broaden your playing horizons.

It is this one thing, of being immersed in styles that perhaps You don’t play, and wouldn’t even think of playing, that will not only make You a more rounded and fulfilled guitar player, but also even help to strengthen and improve your playing in the main styles that you do want to play.

In this video You will see students Alistair and Dan demonstrating exactly that… even though they are mainoly rock and mainly blues type players… here they both are, at the student show, playing some funk rhythm and funk lead guitar on Doobie Brothers Classic, Long Train Running.
