Is There even a bit of a Guitar Tug Of War going on inside You – On the one hand You’d really like to, but on the other, You think You’d ” bottle it” ?

Does Just The Idea of playing on stage make You think about your knees knocking, Your Palms sweating, Maybe Your Hands Shaking  – at the same time exciting and yet terrifying ?

Because If You can answer Yes to even a part of this,  then I can relate, because I still remember the Guitar Student least likely to succeed…

Why ? Because When I look in the mirror in the morning, I remember at one time, Yes a long time ago – that  was me!

Ofcourse I’m very lucky and very gratefull it didn’t stay that way, though Yes it did for one whole year of lessons early on.

But then when I finally got a different Teacher who was patient, had me playing Music that meant something to me (not classical which didn’t), and yes he even got me past all the fears and Up Playing On Stage.

So What was the difference that made a difference ?

Well he kept encouraging me and kept me focussed and persistent in my playing, and was inspiring me to practice, then that was finally the difference that really did make all the difference, that got me thinking Yes it was possible.

So now I’m fortunate to be able to share what I have discovered with others, from Teens to 72 Year Olds, from beginners to beyond, who have not just made progress in their Playing, but even gone on to Play On Stage

  • from Teens playing Satriani’s Surfing With The Alien, around 35 seconds in – in coventry and later live in London
  • To 72 Year Old John making his stage debut –  no I’m not making that up – see around 5 seconds in
  • To Students rocking the Coventry Ricoh at The World Record Attempt –  around 2 minutes and 37 seconds
  • To students going on to play at Workshops, Open Mikes, Live and other themed events, for example Acoustic Blues, even rock goes acoustic….
  • To acoustic students playing songs as easy as 2 chords – and getting the experience of playing for the first time with drums and bass around 3mins and 25 sec,

And Yet over the years I have never forgotten the struggles !

The struggles that sadly too many People seem to have in their playing, their progress feels too  slow, or maybe even stopped altogether, whether that’s more at the beginning or advancing level of Acoustic or Electric Guitar.

If You’re curious on How It Might Be Possible for You To Make Progress and Play How You have always wanted to Play, even though You still might Feel You’d rather Bhungee and AAARGH die than Play Guitar on Stage – (okay maybe not ACTUALLY Bhungee , but You’re more curious about progress, at least intrigued by the idea :) ,
